Mondays madness

With all the wedding planning going on around here, my house has been neglected. We have been shopping every Monday- I was hoping that we didn't have anywhere to go and wouldn't get tempted with another doing trip today. I need to do some house work. My Christmas tree is still up and I never even got out my Valentines day decor out. Did I mention that my tree is real? This tree hasn't lost a needle and it's been up for three months! Even whilst taking ornaments off it's not losing any! Amazing! So my day has consisted of dedecking the tree, spending time at the beach house (aka the laundry room)  and yup you guessed it-wedding stuff! I had planned to get the last of the invites in the mail today but! ... No mail for presidents day!  Today since it's snowing and blowing I am busy dreaming of a coral and silver spring wedding (we certainly got the white Christmas I was dreaming about) :-)
Here is what I am working on.
I bought these roses (on clearance)for the centerpieces but once I got all of them in my cart, I didn't like them all together,

I've almost got it down to a science-
6 roses per centerpiece
All the flowers in a bucket-
So Springy
The finished project
with the hydrangeas and ribbon
so I added a little bit of fabric and some hydrangeas and I like them alot better. I got the idea from Pinterest and they are coming together so quickly and best of all the bride loves them! "It's Beginning to look like *spring* unless you look outside......."

Great Big Stitiched Postcard Swap

postcardswap550bThanks to Shelia, I have discovered the fun of making quilted postcards, so when I saw this swap I knew I had to be in!

Here are a few of the ones I've made recently!

Nothing like a Swap to get motivated! Sherman ( btw have you seen the previews for Sherman's Movie? I can't wait to see it!) has been feeling neglected lately with all the wedding prep, hopefully I can do some stitching on Monday in between wedding centerpieces :)
Have a great dayhttp://dowhatyouloveforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/postcardswap550b.jpg

Sew much for sewing

On Monday I *was* planning to do a bit of sewing. I had just opened up the pattern for Quilt Doodles BOM and was looking for just the right fabric when I got a text asking if I wanted to go shopping for wedding stuff. (i get to play wedding planner for my friend's daughter's wedding.) How could I say "no?" It was a crazy day to drive any where, but I didn't have to drive. We did have to turn around because of a closed road, but we were able to find another way. I believe we even got every thing on the lists.
My life has been ablaze with coral and silver!
I have about 1/2 of the invitations made. I had to tweak the original plan because the copier wiggled each invitation and they all printed crooked. :-(  now I must trim each one and straighten them. I should be done in a few more movies!
I am having such a blast getting ready for the wedding! The bride is so much fun to work with!
