Teacup thursday- surprise birthday tea

My niece turned ten on Saturday- doesn't seem possible but she is now ten years old, We had planned to take her to a really neat teashop in Frankfurt but the weather was not cooperating and it is a long drive. So we postponed that trip for warmer weather. After a myriad of texts flying back and forth between Sistermine and me, we decided to take her to lunch and go shopping in town.

While we were gone the menfolk were tasked with setting up a tea party for her.

The boys and Daddy set the table-
all I did was leave the tablecloth and ribbon for them

Nehemiah put Abby's favorite picture on the table and
Lijey let 'Dog Dog" be a part of the decorations
The flowers came from Aunt Leah

A.C. and Lijey came in costume. A.C. is the prince and Lijey is the "weirdo"
(his words not mine)

Miah couldn't find the right costume so he just came as himself

Once our birthday girl realized what was happening
she ran upstairs to change into her Tea dress

I'd say your men folk did better than good! They did great! What wonderful tea party! What fun with costumes. Glad you were able to make it a special day weather or no! AND you get to look forward to another tea party later! What could be better!
